Over The Top

Jim Duszynski, CEO of Greenvest L.C., presented the Untied Way of Jefferson County volunteers with a check for $10,000 to take the annual fundraising campaign past its goal and to the $500,000 level. With the contribution, Duszynski became a member of the national Alexis de Tocqueville Society for donors of $10,000 or more annually. The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation matched the donation with a $5,000 gift.

Duszynski shook hands with Bob Baronner and Chip Bennett, both members of the Board of Directors of the United Way, who thanks Duszynski for the contribution. "As the area grows so does the need for viable human service programs," Bennett said. "Contributions to the community from builders and developers reinforce their commitment to our neighbors."

The United Way of Jefferson County volunteers evaluates and financially support 26 health and human service organizations providing service to local residents. One gift to the United Way can insure that charitable dollars are directed to meet local needs.
