PURCELLVILLE - VA --Greenvest L.C. is the grand corporate sponsor of the Babe Ruth World Series in Loudoun County, VA. The $10,000 donation was to help cover general expenses along with shirts for volunteers and field crew and welcome bags for all the players, coaches and host families. The Babe Ruth World Series is in progress August 14-21, 2004 in Purcellville, Va.
In addition to their financial contribution, over 50 Greenvest employees, families and friends have donated their time in preparation of the Babe Ruth World Series and will volunteer at the semi-final games Friday night.
"We assembled 300 welcome bags for team players, coaches and host families," said Teri Westbrook, Senior Vice President of Operations for Greenvest. "This week we will be working concessions, security, parking, ticket sales wherever they can use our assistance."
"We are delighted to have Greenvest as a sponsor again this year," states Dale Polen Myers, President of the Babe Ruth World Series. "Their financial support has been instrumental, but just as important are their hours of volunteer efforts," Myers added.
