Greenvest Gives Salvation Army $800 In Stocking Gifts

Using money raised by an auction, Greenvest L.C. filled 13 stockings during the recent holidays for the Salvation Army in Leesburg, Va. to give to needy children and the elderly.

The charity auction, held at the Greenvest headquarters in Vienna, Va., included linens, draperies, silk flower arrangements, accessory furniture pieces and other items which had been used in model homes. Greenvest employees attending the auction bid $800 for the items, more than twice the goal of auction planners.

According to a Salvation Army volunteer who accepted the Greenvest donation, the organization "had never received stockings that were so full of gifts" and appreciated this contribution to the community.

Greenvest is a visionary developer of better living environments, including such award-winning communities as Cascades in Loudoun County, Va., Cameron Station in the City of Alexandria, Va. and Huntfield in Charles Town, W. Va.
